Who will the Ravens start?

Its everyone’s favorite week of pre-season football. You’ve gotta love it. The Ravens went into the ever exciting week four with three candidates for the starter job. Kyle Boller, Troy Smith, and Joe Flacco. With Boller hurt and Smith sick, Ravens fans get another look at the rookie out of Delaware.

Cal Ripken, JR. was at Tropicana Field on August 27 to throw out the first pitch after Ripken Baseball announced purchasing a Single-A minor league team that will be affiliated with the Rays in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Dead arms for the birds?

It seems like a few of the consistents for the Orioles have struggled in their last couple appearances.
The Orioles starters have allowed 23 runs in their past 5 starts, averaging just 5.1 innings pitched.

Liz gets the start

Manager Dave Trembley announced after the Orioles’ 6-3 win over the Boston Red Sox last night that he has designated Luis Hernandez for assignment and given today’s start to Radhames Liz.

Slugfest at the Yard

Another beautiful day at Camden Yards turned into yet another rain delay. I swear the birds can’t finish a game in under 3 hours.
But an hour long May shower wasn’t the only thing coming from the sky in Baltimore. 9 homers were hit at Camden, 5 by the birds including two back-to-back bombs.
