Good old Trevor Pryce…..

Going into last season, everyone thought it was going to be the defensive end’s swan song as a Raven. Go figure, Pryce found a way to lead the team in sacks and become a productive player off of the bench.

Trevor started the 2009 season as the starter at DE. Sometime, during the middle of season, the Ravens coaching staff took notice of Dwan Edwards’ progress and began giving him playing time. Playing part time seemed to almost be welcomed by Pryce, whose play seemed to improve especially late in the games.

2010 Outlook:
After taking a pay cut, Pryce is back. He will likely take a similar role with the Ravens this season. It is likely that Redding and Ngata will be starting on the ends. Pryce will need to keep up his game as youngsters like Paul Kruger and Arthur Jones continue to make progress. Even if Pryce’s role continues to diminish, Trevor will continue provide considerable value to the Ravens as strong leader and mentor for the younger players.
