It’s a Super edition of our podcast, Birds On The Wire, this week. As myself and Jeff Pilson discuss the big game in Miami in full detail, the Capitals streak, and Maryland Terps big week.
- We discuss why New Orleans maybe shouldn’t have been underdogs.
- Discuss the topic every Baltimore fan wants to hear about, Matt Stover’s miss from 51 yards.
- Peyton Manning threw a costly interception, what does the loss do to his legacy?
- The Caps are on fire! I’m trying hard to get into hockey, I swear. Jeff and I discuss the popularity of AO and our friends in DC.
- Finally, the Terps have a huge ACC week and began things with a win against North Carolina. Can they keep it up the rest of the week?

I thought I was particularly awesome this episode.
It was definitely some of our better work!
Fellas — I hung in there for 15 minutes…Right up until it seemed you weren't going to address the Manning Post-Game "Sportsmanship Issue"…Good stuff, less the lack of debate on the missing handshake. Did find the video snippet below that rivals the "liquored up kicker" cut.

I was hoping to see some reaction to Stover's miss from 51. Sorry we didn't address this in Birds On The Wire. Hope you enjoyed the episode though.
Stover missed the kick because it was out of his range. That is why he wasn't going to be on the ravens this year. There should be no joy or relief in that miss. That sucked for him.
Agreed. I don't there this is joy. In fact I don't know why they didn't bother going for it. But Peyton was pissed on the sideline…great team mate.
Again though, the difference to me is that Tom Brady is a jerk a lot less than Peyton Manning because he is more successful in the post season. He's not my boy and I don't care how Manning acts or Brady acts or any other athlete for that matter. To me it boils down to who has done more and Brady is two fingers away from a fist full of rings, while Manning still needs four.
Maybe Jordon was a jerk too, but he has six rings. Tiger has won 14 majors (yeah, golf is a little different). You talk about greatness and you use an example with two guys that achieved greatness numerous times.
THE PATS ARE CHEATERS…….
I knew you weren't done!
Some how we switched from a "who's better" into a moral conversation. And the thing is Sadler that I agree with your above post. Warner is a great guy.
The only point I was trying to make is that you put two competitors name is that comment about guys that sometimes let the passion of the game take over just as Peyton Manning did. Except those two guys have multiple championships and have proven that they typically don't let that fire get out of control enough to lose a game when it's on the line.
For the record, I'd love to see Warner in the HOF. He's a great story!
