Fan House MLB Analyst Frankie Piliere listed his Top 100 Prospects of 2011 and among them were Orioles pitching prospect Zach Britton and shortstop Manny Machado. Britton, ranked tenth overall, received kind words of praise from Piliere.

Showing off a heavy mid-90s fastball and command of his secondary pitches, Britton was one of the pitchers creating the most buzz in the scout section at the Futures Game in Anaheim. The good news for the Orioles is that he’s not far off from contributing at the big-league level.

Machado came in ranked 31st at the young age of 18. Piliere said that the comparisons to Alex Rodriguez are unfair, but that Machado’s raw tools will allow him to mature at the position.
