Let’s play fill in the blanks. You know your year is bad when you fire you _________________ during the season and you injured ___________________ with former Ravens kicker Steve Hauschka.
The answers are “Head coach Josh McDaniels” and “kicker Matt Prater.” Aaron Wilson reported last night that the Denver Broncos have given Hauschka his latest gig in the NFL and that he is expected to kick against the Arizona Cardinals today.
Hauschka struggled with the Ravens and was replaced by Billy Cundiff, missing pressure kicks and converting just 10 of 15 field goals.
Hauschka does have a strong leg.
He has previous stints with the Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons and the Detroit Lions.
Ravens fans, aren’t you glad we’re not the _________________.
(“Broncos” in case you missed didn’t figure it out).
Is this article pointed to MGW, 2488. and Bruz?
Remember when the "Guru" went into the season with Haushka and Gano as his two possible kickers?!?!
Hey moron, he was 9-13 and missed one pressure kick. Came in and made a 54 yder his first professional kick. Do you write this column from your mom's basement?
Hey Weaver,
They had the guy the season before, from November on, as a kick off specialist to spell Stover. He couldn't even handle that job. Face it, he's not an NFL quality kicker otherwise he wouldn't have sat on the shelf for a whole year plus.
Yeah Weaver, Hauschka sucked last season.
Well, Graham Gano would have been a worse pick.On Sun, Dec 12, 2010 at 1:42 PM, Matt Sadler <sadlermr@gmail.com> wrote: Yeah Weaver, Hauschka sucked last season.
He was picked up by the Falcons a month after being released by the Ravens and subsequently picked up by Detroit. He played in the UFL this season and won the league's championship. He did not "sit on the shelf" for a year. Cundiff's FG % was barely better than his last year after being brought in. The Ravens sucked last year and tried to blame in on their new kicker.
I am loving the Hauschka fan club!
Sadler – only thing I can think is they are related to Hauschka or partaking in holiday egg nog?!?!
That's what it was actually, you're right. Missing a game winning 44 yarder in Minnesota, a 38 yarder against the Bengals, or those 36 and 44 yarders against the Browns. You're right though, good kickers miss all of those.
Zach, Go back to your mom's basement! and wish her a Happy Birthday for me…….
Haha. Will do.
Oh, didn't know about the UFL championship. And the Lions picked him up, too? The trifecta would have been Al Davis or Dan Synder picking him up. Those facts have convinced me that the Ravens made a mistake releasing him.
Also forgot…To mention his time in Atlanta where he appeared in ZERO games.
If you're a Broncos fan though what does it matter. You're team is the laughing stock of the NFL anyway.
I'll bet Haushka makes more for the next three weeks than you chuckle heads make all year. Now who is the fool?
there is nothing foolish abut it. Sheila Dixon has made her share of money, that doesn't mean she didn't suck at her job.
