Bryce Harper on Orioles-Nationals World Series

How awesome would an Orioles-Nationals World Series be? Pretty awesome.

It’s entirely possible that the Nationals finish the season with the best record in the National League and the Orioles end 2014 with the best record in the American League. As of Friday morning, both clubs have won 73 games.

Though there’s a little more than a month of regular season baseball left to be played, the O’s and Nats won’t face each other again until 2015 — unless of course they meet in the fall classic. Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper was a guest on MLB Tonight and talked about how super cool that would be.

Via NatsEnquirer.com:

"Man, it would be so epic to have a Beltway World Series. Us against them. And have just an amazing crowd every single night. When we play them, it's pretty insane in both ballparks. That would be pretty incredible for that to happen. Hopefully we can both get there."

I’m sure the Orioles wouldn’t mind that matchup. They’re a combined 6-2 against Washington over the past two seasons. Of course, it’s an entirely different matchup in the postseason.
