Hall of Famer Jim Palmer famously ate pancakes for breakfast prior to every start. He won three Cy Young Awards, four Gold Gloves and pitched a no-hitter in 1969. Talk about a performance enhancing drug.

Tuesday night in D.C., Orioles slugger Chris Davis belted his Major League leading 17th home run of season, a solo shot to right field in the fourth inning. After Davis’s bomb, his wife, Jill, shared an interested tidbit about her husband’s pregame meal. Apparently Mrs. Davis prepared what she calls his “home run breakfast.”

I need to know more about these sweet potato pancakes. Is this a new thing? How did I miss this phenomenon?

Also, if they are the cause of Davis’s sudden power surge, please keep ’em coming!
