The Washington Capitals came back from a 3-0 first period deficit to beat the Calgary Flames 5-4 in a shootout. Connor Carrick started the comeback in the second period with his first NHL goal:

After a rough debut against the Blackhawks, Carrick looked much better against the Flames. He might be up longer than expected, depending on how long teammate Jack Hillen is out for.
