As crazy as it sounds, there are some folks that are blaming Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith for not breaking up Joe Flacco‘s costly interception late in the fourth quarter against the Patriots on Saturday.
Crazy, right?
Torrey was Flacco’s intended target on the deep pass thrown with just 1:46 remaining on the clock with the Ravens down by four points, but the overthrow pass landed right in Pats safety Duron Harmon‘s arms.
Could Smith have broken up the pass and extended the game for the Ravens? I don’t think so, it was too far over his head.
Former Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason, a guest of Glenn Clark’s on Press Box, agrees.
