Yesterday’s news about the NFL Lockout appeared to provide a bright and sunny outlook on ending this dispute.  Judge Nelson’s ruling looked to side with the players and while it certainly didn’t end the battle, it was a glimmer of hope that this thing would soon be over.  Not so fast.

The Commissioner, owners and players are now responding to this ruling and it seems everyone is still grumpy about it.  Chris Carr sent an email to Ravens reporter Aaron Wilson about Monday’s news.  “Everything that has transpired was to be expected,” Washington said.  “I would have been surprised otherwise.”

While Derrick Mason told the media on Monday evening that he hoped to be back at the Ravens facility next week, Carr and teammate Fabian Washington weren’t as optimistic.  “I am not under contract so I will not be going to any facility,” Carr said.  “Very few guys are in town from the Ravens. If you don’t have a workout bonus, it’s pretty pointless to show up,” Washington said.
