Former Ravens hero Jermaine Lewis was arrested yesterday for driving on a suspended license.  According to Justin Fenton of The Baltimore Sun, Lewis was pulled over in Reisterstown with his 4-year-old son unrestrained in the front seat and told the officer that he “needed to get food for his son and something to heat his home.”

Lewis was charged in August with reckless driving and resisting arrest by Baltimore County police and was tased by an officer.  “In that incident, county police said Lewis was seen swerving and had run over a volunteer fire company sign, and officers found him inside his Reisterstown home smelling of alcohol,” Fenton writes.

Big Boyz Bail Bonds tweeted that they were “Bailing out Jermaine,” on Thursday evening.

What a sad story about a former Baltimore-great.
