Enough with the stupid bubble gum jokes and talk about Adam Jones potentially being overrated in centerfield. The O’s star told Baltimore he’d clean his ish up and on Tuesday night he got the chance to prove it.

In the top of the sixth, Carlos Quentin hit a deep fly ball to center field that Jones tracked down and leaped into the wall to haul in. It was Gold Glove-esque.

GIF after the bump.

Adam Jones makes a stellar catch in centerfield

Heading into last night’s game, Jones was manning his position at a .988 fielding percentage which is actually higher than his .982 mark from a season ago.

Perhaps too much was made of his early season struggles in centerfield.
