The Orioles unveiled an artist rendering of their new renovations to Oriole Park at Camden Yards for the upcoming 2012 season. The ball park got some major upgrades for it’s 20th birthday that should add to the enjoyment of what I believe is already the country’s best ball park.
The O’s opened what they are calling the “Roof Deck” located on top of the wall in centerfield. All fans will have access to the bar and its deck seating and get a view of both the game action and of downtown Baltimore.

The Flag Court gets a makeover as well. The right field wall has been lowered to improve views of the game from the fans in the standing room sections and on Eutaw Street.
But the biggest and most anticipated feature are the Legends Sculptures being unveiled throughout the season. All six of the Orioles Hall of Famers (Frank Robinson, Brooks Robinson, Earl Weaver, Jim Palmer, Eddie Murray and Cal Ripken, Jr.) will have bronze statues on display in the bullpen picnic area.
Might as well put money in statues , this team plays like they are statues any way,,,,,,,,,,,,baseball is dead in Baltimore………..
I like it. Lower wall in right will definitely improve the fan experience. Always fun to take in a few innings in the flagcourt.
Any upgrades to the team itself?
Nah.
But hey, come see the throwback uniforms and stadium improvements!!!
i hear the reno’s are not going to be complete by game time friday…..
