It seems like no one is after veteran DH Vladimir Guerrero at the moment. On Monday Rangers president Nolan Ryan said that the club may be interested in reuniting with Vlad. However Rangers Assistant GM Thad Levine dismissed that on MLBNetworkRadio on Tuesday night.

” I don’t think we’d have the at-bats for him he’s looking for,” Levine said.

While reporters in Baltimore seem to think Andy MacPhail and the Orioles are not in the Vlad market, you have to wonder if Guerrero’s low value is at least an interest to the crew in the warehouse. The rumors surrounding Guerrero’s ties to the O’s have been quiet since the weekend…too quiet.

I side the Matt Vensel of Virtual Vensanity on B, who says the upside of Vlad is great and would be a low risk move for the O’s.

Plus, the upside with Vlad is too much to pass up unless he is asking for a crazy payday. He played a big role in the Rangers’ run to the World Series last season, batting .300 with 29 home runs and 115 RBS — totals that would have been tops among Orioles regulars in 2010. You can’t tell me the Orioles wouldn’t take two-thirds of that production.

Are you pro or anti-Vlady in Charm City?
