The Ravens took the field at Towson University on Monday morning for the first of several player run practices.  The practices are open to the media, but closed to fans as they are held at Johnny Unitas Stadium in the midst of Towson’s graduation.

Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times spoke with wide receiver Derrick Mason about the practices and the teammates he expected to see on the field.

Among the players expected to attend: Mason, Flacco, Rice, Johnson, quarterback Hunter Cantwell, safety Haruki Nakamura, wide receivers Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith, Tandon Doss and Justin Harper, running back Anthony Allen, linebacker Jameel McClain, quarterback Tyrod Taylor and defensive tackles Brandon McKinney and Lamar Divens.

The sessions will include movement drills, resistance speed drills, core workouts, positional drills and weightlifting

Mason said that Ray Lewis had “prior engagements,” but understood that he would not be able to attend. Wilson tweets that first round draft pick Jimmy Smith also won’t be in attendance.
