Remember that time Joe Flacco signed a six-year, $120.6 million contract extension and celebrated by rolling through the local McDonalds drive thru for some chicken nuggets? Yeah, that was awesome.
Apparently McDonalds thought it was pretty cool too. Ryan Sharrow of the Baltimore Business Journal reports that Flacco will star in an upcoming Mickey D’s commercial set to air in the coming days.
The Super Bowl XLVII MVP will appear in a national television ad for McDonald’s set to debut some time over the next 10 days, said Tom Kleine, a vice president at JL Sports, which represents Flacco.
The commercial was filmed in mid-July while Flacco was in Los Angeles for the annual ESPY Awards. In the spot, Flacco pitches a new McDonald’s product, Kleine said. The quarterback will appear in the commercial with another recognizable face, he said.
Sharrow didn’t have specific details about the commercial. I think it would be great to just have Flacco re-enact the whole thing, but I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
Flacco apparently ordered a 10-piece McNugget meal with fries and an unsweetened tea. Total cost: $6.99 plus tax. Not a bad choice for McDonalds, I hope he went with sweet and sour sauce and a few sugar packets for that tea.
How can you not love the Ravens quarterback?
Sweet and sour? How about the triumphant return of Sweet Chili?!?
I mean, after all, spy returned, why not sweet chili sauce?
