Ed Reed didn’t seem too optimistic about the Ravens chances without Lardarius Webb. “If we lost him for the year, man it’s going to kill us,” Reed told the media after the Ravens eked out a last second 31-29 victory over the Cowboys on Sunday.
Head coach John Harbaugh indicated after the game that the Ravens will likely lose Webb for the season as the team fears he tore his ACL on the field in week six. The team has not made an official announcement as MRIs scheduled for Webb and Ray Lewis (torn triceps) are scheduled for this morning.
Baltimore’s defense currently ranked 26th in yards allowed per game (396.7), though they surprisingly have only allowed 19.7 points per game.
Losing Webb and Lewis will seriously hurt their chances against powerhouse offenses — like say, Houston, who they face in week seven.
It will be difficult without Webb and Lewis but good teams find ways to win. Let’s see if the Ravens can keep up the momentum on their 5-1 start.
Lewis was over the hill anyway and looked lost on the field , he should retire now like he should have done two years ago,,,,,,,,,,,problem is Ozzie hasn’t drafted any decent LBs in many a year,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Webb will hurt a bit but he was over-rated as well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,next man up , coach’em up Harbs………………LOL
