Apparently Larry King Owned A Race Horse With Earl Weaver

EarlSadly, Baltimore lost a true legend this weekend when Earl Weaver passed away at the age of 82. Weaver was undoubtedly the the greatest manager in franchise history and he exuded the Oriole Way.

Many shared their condolences at Orioles FanFest and several gave their thoughts of Weaver in comments posted in Twitter. Anyone from The Iron Sheik to Larry King weighed in on the legendary skipper.

Did you know that King and Weaver “once owned a race horse [together]“? I didn’t either. King tweeted it on Saturday. I did a quick Google search for more info, but was unable to come across anything further.

King couldn’t be reached for further comment (twitter response).

Baltimore will always remember the Earl of Baltimore, he was a blue collar manager in a blue collar town. He brought an entertainment value to the game that will never be duplicated. Rest in peace, Earl. Thanks for the memories.
