On this disgusting, cold and rainy January day in Baltimore, I come to you with a message of hope. We will see the sun again, we will be able to open the front door without bracing ourselves because of the cold and dammit, baseball will be here before we know it.

Down in Sarasota, Florida, where my iPhone’s weather app says it’s cloudy and 73 degrees, 20 pitchers showed up to Orioles minicamp to prepare for the upcoming 2015 season.

We’re still 38 days from pitchers and catchers reporting at the O’s Spring Training complex, but today’s news makes me feel a little more optimistic that we’ll all make it through the winter.
