Good thing he isn’t.

Nate McLouth has come up big for the Orioles in the ALDS. While just about everyone else seems to have checked into a resort in Antigua, the O’s left fielder/Dash look-alike has been putting in work. McLouth is 6-for-18 (.333 batting average for you math geeks), with two runs scored, 2 RBI, a double and a home run.

Despite all that, McLouth told ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick after the game that he’s more impressed with what he’s seen from rookie third baseman Manny Machado. “I try to put myself in that positions if I was a 20-year old,” McLouth said. “I would have to wear a diaper.”

To my knowledge (very limited), Machado is diaper-free. Although we have seen some embarrassing rookie hazing pictures of him in a tutu.

Machado became the second-youngest player in baseball history to homer in the postseason on Wednesday night and his leadoff double in the 13th allowed him to score the game winning run in game four.
