Survivor Selections:

Carolina Panthers (-13.5) – The Panthers have been off since like the 4th of July after their opening night loss at Denver on Opening Night. They will face a 49ers squad that played the last MNF game at home and now has to travel to Charlotte for a 1pm EST kick. This one shouldn’t be close.

Arizona Cardinals (-7) – The ‘Cards were embarrassed in their home opener by the dream boat Jimmy Garoppolo and the Pats. This week they will bounce back vs. a up and coming team-Tampa Bay- as David Johnson (fantasy hero) and the angry ‘Zona defense will be the key’s to victory.

Oakland Raiders (-6.5) – The Raiders are back. Well at least as long as they get to play awful defense’s like the Saints and this week the Falcons. A ton of exceptions in the Dub City for the Raiders this year and I think their home opener vs a team that is traveling across the coast is as good a spot as ever to use the Raiders as a survivor selection.

Against The Spread:

Jacksonville Jaguars (+3) – Most of you reading this hot garbage know the “author” is a life-long Chargers fan. Throw that right out the window when it comes to making some fun money. Yours truly had the Chiefs last week as a survivor selection as the Bolts melted down-per usual- and came from ahead to blow a 21 point second half lead only to lose in OT. This week a good Jags team comes to Mission Valley for the Bolts “home opener”. I laugh because saying the Bolts have a home field advantage is like saying the Orioles are #1 in attendance. Take the 3pts or if you think the Jags will win outright-and I do-play them on the money line for better odds.

Washington Redskins (-2.5) – Prime time games aren’t too favorable to the football team that plays in that dump known as DeadEx Field and this past Monday night was no different. But this week rookie QB Dax Prescott and the depleted Cowboys come to town and I think the Bravehearts will play much better in an early season “must win.”

Atlanta Falcons/Oakland Raiders over (48.5) – The Falcons can score, but give up more points on defense. The Raiders dropped an easy 35 on the Saints last week on the road. This screams over like a mug.

Baltimore Ravens Angle:

Damn you, RGKnee. You can’t make it out of the 1st regular season game and now the Ravens have to deal with a real QB in Josh McCown. Laugh all you want, but take a look at what McCown has done in the past to the Ravens. Try 435 yards and 3 TDs last year in a 33-30 win at M&T Bank Stadium. Plus, this being the home opener for those wacky Dawg Pound fans and I think this one will be much close than the 7 points Vegas has the Ravens favored by.

Now, Elite Joe Flacco is 13-2 in his career vs. the Browns and the Ravens are the much better team on paper. The Browns defense makes the Saints and Falcons look like the ’85 Bears, but still think this one is closer than many think. The Ravens should get to 2-0, but again, it won’t be a cake walk by any stretch of the imagination.

Ravens 23-20
