Sam Perlozzo could return to Baltimore as the Orioles third base coachYou know it’s a great offseason when the Baltimore Orioles biggest concern is third base coach. No offense to DeMarlo Hale, who will certainly be missed here in Charm City, but it’s nice to not be overly worried about what the O’s front office is up to.

With that said, the O’s are looking for an infield instructor. Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports that the Orioles haven’t contacted former skipper Sam Perlozzo about coming back as the team’s third base coach, though he’d be a great fit.

It does seem a little weird to bring back a guy that was fired, but after the Blue Jays hired John Gibbons, why the hell shouldn’t Perlozzo be given an offer to return to Baltimore?
