MASNSports.com’s Roch Kubatko confirms that the Orioles have reached an agreement to bring back their 2005 second round draft pick, Nolan Reimold, to a minor league deal. The 31-year-old split time between Toronto and Arizona last season where he slashed .232/.282/.435 with three homers and 34 RBI in just 29 games.
Reimold burst on to the scene with the Orioles in 2009 when he slashed .279/.365/.466 with 15 homers and 45 RBI in 104 games, but injuries have limited him from playing more than 87 games in a single season since.
O’s VP of baseball operations Brady Anderson spoke with Kubatko about Reimold’s lengthy injury history:
