Last night the Washington Capitals opened their preseason with a home game on the road. The Caps played in front of a sellout crowd of 11,000 at the 1st Mariner Arena against the Nashville Predators in what was called “The Baltimore Hockey Classic.”

Despite the Caps falling 2-0 in the opener, fans from Baltimore filled the arena to watch hockey return to Charm City. Here are pictures from the game.

Capitals fall 2-0, now it's time to get rid of that ice. The circus is on town on Friday (I made that up)
