Walt Harris thought about it, turned the Ravens down, then thought about it for two weeks and decided he wants to be a Raven. The veteran cornerback must have been reading all the hype on BSR and decided that the Ravens have a pretty good shot at World Championship this season.
The 13 year veteran will turn 36 before this NFL season begins, he was a first round selection in 1996 by the Chicago Bears and has spent time in Indianapolis, Washington and San Francisco. Harris sat last season with an anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee which he suffered during the Spring.
Harris has a career high 8 interceptions with the 49ers in 2006 and will join Fabian Washington and Lardarius Webb as injured Ravens defensive backs looking to make a come back this season.
The market for solid cornerbacks isn’t good, while Harris’ best days are behind him, he does add another body to the Ravens DBs. I personally think the move helps Webb return at a normal pace, as the organization seemed to be expected a lot from him upon his return.
What do you think of Walt Harris?
Sorry, but it was never an option nor should it have been.
