Good news for Ravens fans.
According to the Carroll County Times’ Aaron Wilson, the Ravens and Joe Flacco continue to chip away at a contract extension for their franchise quarterback.
Flacco’s agent Joe Linta told Wilson that he met with Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome and vice president of football administration Pat Moriarty for several hours this weekend. “It was a good meeting,” Linta said. “We’ll keep working. There’s no deadline.”
The Ravens currently have $6.398 million in salary cap room, with temporary extra space with Bryant McKinnie being on the reserve/did not report list. Flacco is due $6.75 million this season as he goes into his final year under his rookie contract.
Flacco doesn’t seem concerned with the contract negotiations and appears to be focused on the upcoming season.
I hope they pay him so I don’t have to hear that stupid Pizza Hut commercial again this year…
“Flacco, Flacco…that’s powerful stuff, man”
Terrible!
