Ed Reed’s Interview On 105.7 The Fan Costs Ravens $20,000

Ed Reed says he has a torn labrumRemember when Ed Reed went on the radio to discuss his torn labrum with 105.7 The Fan host/president of his foundation Glenn Younes? That interview just cost the Baltimore Ravens $20,000.

According to Dan Hanzus of NFL.com, the Ravens were fined for violating the league’s procedures for reporting injury information. Reed talked about his injury despite not being listed on the team’s injury report.

The Injury Report Policy reads as follows:

“All players with significant or noteworthy injuries must be listed on the report, even if the player takes all the reps in practice, and even if the team is certain that he will play in the upcoming game. This is especially true of key players and those players whose injuries have been covered extensively by the media.”

I wonder if the Ravens will no longer allow Reed to be interviewed by Younes.

So does Jamison Hensley.
