Future Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis answered a question that Ravens fans have feared hearing the answer to for years. Lewis hinted at his retirement age in an interview with the NFL Network this week.
“Only God Knows,” Lewis told Rich Eisen of the NFL network. Eisen followed up asking Lewis whether he would have a chance to play professional football with his son, who is currently finishing his sophomore year of high school. “That’s another four years!,” Lewis said according to Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun.
The 12 time Pro Bowler, who turned 36 years old on May 15, said he can’t imagine playing football past 37.
Two more years of Ray Lewis, what are we going to do?
Lewis’ contract runs through 2015.
Yeah, right. I get the feeling that Lewis is the type of guy who will make the team have to make a tough decision. He will not know when to hang it up.
