Update: Done deal. Orioles acquire Bud Norris for L.J. Hoes, Josh Hader and their 2014 Competitive Balance Pick.

Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com is reporting that the Orioles have agreed to acquire Bud Norris from the Astros for outfielder L.J. Hoes “and another piece.”

Rosenthal says the deal is being finalized now.

Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports that Josh Hader is the “other piece” in the deal. The O’s will also reportedly send the Astros their Competitive Balance pick. However, Danny Knobler of CBS Sports reports that Hader’s medicals could lead to a switch in the second prospect that Houston will acquire.

Bud The Stud has scuffled in July, allowing opponents to hit .290/.376/.495 and pitching to a 6.38 ERA in four starts.

The best part of this deal for the O’s is that Norris is earning just $3 million in 2013 and is under team control through 2015. As Steve Adams of MLB Trade Rumors points out, he will be eligible for arbitration for the second time this offseason.

The non-waiver trade deadline ends at 4 PM.
