Like a number of Americans obsessed with reality TV, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith recently found himself drawn to MTV’s Catfish, a program dedicated to showcasing the folks tricked by their fake online girlfriends and boyfriends. Perhaps you’ve heard of it.

It’s pretty much the Manti Te’o’s story over and over.

Smith tweeted that he watched three straight episodes and that he doesn’t “feel sorry for any of them” because “it seems so obvious and dumb every time”. Interestingly enough, Te’o has been linked to the Ravens in several mock drafts, including Sports Illustrated’s.

So in a way, Smith sort of poked fun at a guy who could be his teammate next season. Although to be fair, everyone will be making fun of Te’o when he’s in the NFL.

  1. Let’s hope the Ravens are done with gambling with high draft picks. Sergio Kindle? Terrence Cody? Jimmy Smith? I hope they use their top pick for a top flight player and not this goof.

  2. So Kruger is off the list now that he has developed.

    • sure , sometimes it take a few years to develope and produce , remember the Ravens jerked him around from position to position trying to figure out where he would play , you would think this would have been done before Ozzie drafted him ?

      • I forgot to add , best player available doesn’t always work , see recent drafts………….

        • Where do you think the Ravens will be spending their draft picks then?

          • Any LB other than Teo,,,,,,they have to get a fast one and hope he comes around real fast playing behins Ellerbe and McLean,on the inside,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they might need a left tackle depending on McKinney and probably a safety,,,,,,,,,,,actually they need a replacement for any decent free agent they lose………………
