The home fans are supposed to cheer for their team and boo the opponent, but the crowd in New England clearly crossed the line following Sunday’s AFC Championship game.
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith says that Patriots fans have sent angry tweets taunting him about the death of his younger brother. Smith lose his brother, Tevin Jones, in September after a tragic motorcycle accident.
“Played a lot of games since my brothers death and I never received as many rude tweets after a win than Sunday…yet NE fans cry about class,” Smith tweeted on Tuesday.
Ridiculous. Sometimes you have to take a step back and acknowledge that it’s just a game. No one deserves to be treated like that. These are real people with real emotions. It’s not some video game or movie.
If Mrs. Wes Welker is looking to whine about something, how about this.
There’s ignorant fans and good fans in every team. I hope Torrey knows he has the full love and support of all Ravens fans.
Makes me sick to think that someone would use the death of his brother against him…would you feel the same if it happened to your brother! Torrey I’m sorry on behalf of fans everywhere for any team that you would have to deal with this.
Remember people this is only a game. It’s fun to cheer on our teams but use class and sportsmanship.Still only a game! There are people at war, starving, without homes, without jobs, all with their own crisises.Batimore fans take the high road!
This is proof of what I thought of the Pats fans all along,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what a bunch of losers,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,funny, they haven’t won a ring ever since ‘spygate’,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what a crappy fan base they have , it matches their teams outlook on things……………………
@JimmyDundalk Stay Classy, wouldnt you like to have 3 rings instead if 1? Stop living in the past…5 superbowl appearances this century to 2…hmmm…
lol like you all wouldnt do the same thing to get an edge if the table was turned…get a life Ravens…you won, have fun in hell, oops Nawlins…sorry my inner suggs slipped out and I have know this dude since college, still immature.
