Towson’s Football Players Throw Rob Ambrose Under The Bus
Remember when Towson’s football program was the pleasant surprise of the 2011 season? 2012 hasn’t quite followed suit.
The Tigers fell to 3-4 on the season after losing 31-20 to Old Dominion on homecoming Saturday at Johnny Unitas Stadium. They’re 2-2 this season in their conference.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, now head coach/2011 hero Rob Ambrose is coming under attack by his own players. In a letter to the editor in Towson’s student newspaper, The Towerlight, inactive linebacker Trevor Walker accused Ambrose of misreporting practice hours to the NCAA.
An anonymous current player added that Ambrose is “on specific players.”
After falling to Old Dominion on Saturday, Towson’s star running back Terrance West tweeted “It’s been good Towson,” indicating he may transfer.
Things appear to be falling apart for Alma mater. But hey, at least we still have baseball.

what a difference a year makes. I was starting to become enthusiastic about this program and maybe stepping up a little, but looks like the wheels are starting to fall off. bummer.
