Towson Actually Didn’t Lose That Bad To LSU
The Towson Tigers went into Death Valley against LSU as 42 point under dogs. They left having only been defeated by the number three ranked Tigers (they shouldn’t allow the Tigers to play the Tigers) 38-22.
In fact, Rob Ambrose’s team actually had a 9-7 lead over LSU in the second quarter.
Towson QB Grant Enders went 13 for 33 for 103 yards. He connected with Gerrard Sheppard on a 9-yard touchdown and also rushed 86 yards.
“I’m extremely conflicted,” Ambrose said after the game. “You don’t line up to lose. With that being said, as a head coach, as an alum, as a father, I don’t think it’s humanly possible for me to be more proud of these players.”
It’s funny being proud of a team that only lost by 16, but as a alumnus, I certainly am pleased with Towson’s effort. How can you not be?
