Watch here as BaltimoreRavens.com writer Ryan Mink, who appears to be in good shape for an average human, barely passes the offensive lineman’s version of the team’s conditioning test. As Mink states between labored breaths in the video, it is “mind-boggling” how guys 150-plus pounds heavier than he is like Bryant McKinnie pass the test annually. While Terrence Cody probably ran a d-line version of the test in 2010, after seeing this it’s not a huge surprise that he failed. We’re just grateful for Mink (and for us) that he didn’t barf at the end.

I hear what you’re saying about the difficulty of this test, bu hear me out on this one. If you only “work” 5-6 months out of the year and your “job” is to keep yourself in shape, then there is no excuse for anyone to fail this test. As a reporter or a writer or a desk jockey, you are not training your body a few hours a day and you don’t have a five month offseason to get your ass down to the gym every day. No excuse for any professional athlete to fail this test other than his failure to perform his job duties, which is primarily to keep himself in shape.
Really enjoyed the video! But since its still very much baseball season ’round town, it sure is great how the O’s didn’t get down in the dumps and throw in the towel tonight after giving up five early runs…Our guys did us proud by really battling the low-budget Rays, working the count against Price, getting in good hitter’s counts, just really grinding it out despite the early deficit, which is a hallmark of Buck Ball. What’s that, you say? You disagree? You point out how O’s SP threw more pitches (75) to get through 2 and 2/3’s than the Rays SP (74) threw to get through the first 5 IP? You say the O’s have yet to record a walk. You point out how the Rays young back-up catcher has driven in more runs tonight than our Catcher has through and including back to July 6? Okay, okay, you win!
News flash to OL’ Bruz………….baseball season is over when Ravens training camp begins,,,,,,,,,,,no one really believed the O’s were for real this year except for a few misguided fans…………………
