Every clip I’ve ever seen of Debbie Phelps looks exactly the same. So why shouldn’t this one?
Tuesday in London, Michael Phelps became the most decorated Olympian of all-time. The Baltimore native took the silver medal in the 200-meter butterfly, losing by 0.05 seconds.
Like every other race, Phelps’ mother Debbie was watching from the stands and the finish was so tight that even she was fooled.
It wasn’t long after this race that Phelps did take home his first gold in London. The US team won the mens 4×200 meter relay moments later.
