Really? First pitch to A-Fraud is a three run homer? Gimme a break.

The Yankees came into Camden Yards and handed the Birds their first shutout of the season.

CC Sabathia started earning his money with the complete game shutout surrendering only 4 hits, 3 of which were from Brian Roberts and Adam Jones.

Jeremy Guthrie started looking good after the serving it up to A-Roid. His velocity was back up in the mid to high 90s and he was mixing pitches very well. Guthrie pitched through 6 but got the loss.

Adam Jones was nearly ejected from the game in the bottom of the 1st. Roberts and Jones attempted a double steal and Jones was called out when he clearly should have been safe. “Whatever,” Jones told the media after he was clearly upset with the call. I like the fire and passion from AJ, he cares and the O’s need more players like that.

If you only saw the top of the 1st you basically saw the whole game. One pitch, one hit, 3 runs. Game over.

The O’s face the Yankees in game two tonight at 7 PM.
