You gotta love Aaron Rodgers. He’s a down-to-earth guy with a Super Bowl ring and an epic mustache. Now he’s calling out Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez for his ridiculous photo spread in GQ Magazine.
“Look at this,” Rodgers told an ESPN reporter. “That’s embarrassing. Page 94 of the GQ thing here. That’s terrible.”
As Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.com points out, page 94 of GQ features a photo of Sanchez in white pants and a black tank top with an empty stadium behind him.
Rodgers couldn’t be more right about the picture. It is embarrassing. It’s the sort of thing that he will likely have yelled in his face at the bottom of a pile on week 14. If Patriots quarterback Tom Brady weren’t such a pretty boy himself, it might be fuel for the fire at Gillette Stadium when the Jets come to visit on week five. It’s the sort of thing that will have Newman yelling “nice game pretty boy.” It’s bad.
What is it with athletes and these photo spreads? Would you care if Joe Flacco wanted to be a fashion icon or should we only judge him by his on field performance?
I’m no fan of Mark Sanchez and the Jets but Aaron Rodgers needs to rise above the cheap shots and stick to football. Who cares if Sanchez wants to pose for GQ? Rodgers only demeans himself with such a comment.
Rogers needs to mind his own business!
I don’t “gotta love” Rodgers for being “down to earth”. Sanchez is just buttering his bread. It’s probably something more like Rodgers being jealous. “Who cares if Sanchez wants to pose for GQ?” is exactly right! Really it doesn’t mean anything besides $$$! And the overall tone of this post is almost homophobic and is offensive.
Gee Zach , I figured you and Carl would love those pics………..
I guess chowman wouldn’t share them with you long enough……….
