Adam Jones - R.B.I. Baseball

I feel like Adam Jones is everywhere right now. Whether he’s eating burgers with guys from the MLB FanCave, ripping fans that run on the field or downplaying Masahiro Tanaka, AJ seems to be all over the news.

Here’s something a little less newsy, but as cool. Adam Jones and Cardinals starter Michael Wacha showed off the new R.B.I. Baseball 14, which is out now for iOS, Xbox 360 and PS3.

As a fan of retro games, I downloaded R.B.I. Baseball 14 immediately when it came out for iOS. It’s been a little buggy for me, but really enjoyable. It’s a quick and easy baseball game that works well with the touchscreen interface on iPhone. As AJ says, it’s beautifully simple:

Jones said he prefers the simplicity of the game, and the center fielder was excited to get the chance to play early.

“You got all these games that are super high-tech. This game is just straight to the point — swing the bat, run the bases,” Jones said. “Nowadays you can have one guy lead off and have one guy steal, and it’s too technical for me. I can’t be thinking too much.”

Fitting for the ultimate throwback game, R.B.I. Baseball 14 will have unlockable retro jerseys players can earn by completing custom team-specific challenges. Enjoy the Brooklyn Dodgers, classic Twins, old-school Padres, iconic Cincinnati “Big Red Machine” uniforms and more.
