Orioles centerfielder Adam Jones flew from his home in San Diego to Baltimore for Ray Lewis’ final home game, then traveled to Denver to watch the Ravens upset the Broncos in double overtime and now he’s headed to New England for the AFC Championship.
Jones confirmed on Monday that he got his tickets and will follow the Ravens to Foxboro. Last week, he was spotted cheering on Joe Flacco as he ran onto the field in Denver prior to the game..
Torrey Smith tweeted that Jones was the first person he saw when he exited the tunnel on Saturday.
You’ve got to love the camaraderie between the O’s and Ravens. It’s a great time to be a Baltimore sports fan.
It’s what we’ve wanted to see – the coexistence of both sports teams, rooting for each other. Jonesy is the man.
Good luck charm…? He looks like Jamie Foxx. See if our good luck charm can pull another horsehoe out of his ass is Foxboro. Go Ravens.
Sometimes it is better to get lucky than be good, verify Intimidator.
Here’s hoping the Orioles have Ray & other Ravens players and coaches throw out the 1st pitch, like Ed Reed did last season. Ray on Opening Day would be beyond electric, I cannot imagine the emotional charge he would give the crowd and the team.
Love this! I hope they ask Ray to throw out the opening day first pitch.
