Norfolk Tides outfielder Chris Dickerson was removed from Tuesday night’s game before his first at-bat. The Baltimore Sun’s Eduardo Encina reports that Dickerson will be joining the Orioles in Boston. The O’s corresponding roster move remains uncertain.
Perhaps Nolan Reimold‘s hamstring injury will land him on the disabled list. Maybe the O’s are sending down Steve Pearce. Or maybe Dickerson was just a late scratch.
Dickerson has appeared in six games for the Triple-A Tides, he’s gone just 3-for-15 (.200) with a triple and an RBI in 2013. He hit .297/.409/.514 with two homers and six RBI in 37 at-bats this spring.
