The Baltimore Orioles payroll could be up $7-$13 million from the 2014’s record high, $107,976,153.
Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun gives an update of the Orioles’ budget after five of their 11 arbitration eligible players have reached deals.
[quote_box_center]My best estimate – and I’m probably within a couple million dollars either way – is $114 million, which would be about $7 million higher than last year’s franchise record.
It will keep the Orioles in the top half of major league payrolls – they were estimated 15th last year at roughly $107 million – but not quite in the Top 10.[/quote_box_center]
Connolly adds that if the Orioles add another outfielder, such as the rumored Colby Rasmus, their payroll could reach near $120 million.
