Beanie Wells

Poor Beanie Wells can’t catch a break.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that free agent running back Beanie Wells injured his Achilles at a tryout with the Baltimore Ravens last week.

While trying out for the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday, the former first-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals hurt his Achilles and it prevented him from finishing the workout.

The injury is so bad, per league sources, that Wells will not be able to work out for any other teams in the coming weeks, ending his season before it began.

Wells was released by the Cardinals in March after dealing with a variety injuries over his four seasons in Arizona. He rushed for 1,047 yards in 2011 and has never played a full 16 games.

The Ravens announced on Monday that they have signed former Bengals running back Bernard Scott.
