The Baltimore Ravens held their tryout for wide receiver today at their training complex. They brought in Drew Bennett, D.J. Hackett, Chris Hannon and Justin Brown.
These guys obviously aren’t the long term solution, but with Derrick Mason’s retirement the Ravens need someone to fill the hole he left behind.
This afternoon Bruce Cunningham from 105.7 The Fan reported that he believes Drew Bennett won the tryout.
Aaron Wilson of ProFootballTalk.com took Bruce’s report a step further, he reported that Bennett has taken a physical for the team and that the Ravens “really liked what they saw.”
“Hopefully, it means good things,” Bennett said. “Hopefully, it means that they’ll be looking to sign me if I pass the physical.”
Bennett played with the St. Louis Rams and Tennessee Titans, he was cut by the Rams just two seasons after signing a $30 million contract.
