Former Steelers head coach Bill Cowher told WFAN in New York earlier in the week that he’s picking the Jets to defeat the Steelers in the AFC Championship. Cowher has jumped on board with both BSR and Ray Rice this week and gone green.
Fox Sports had the direct quote from the former 15 year Pittsburgh coach.
“Well, I’ll tell you what, Pittsburgh will have some issues this weekend,” Cowher said. “The way the Jets are playing, I’m telling you this is going to be a game, I think it will be a classic game, and I like the Jets.
“They made a believer out of me last week with what they did, I think they match up well. I think it’s going to be a tough ballgame, but they certainly have all the ingredients.”
I’ve gotta tell you, I was irritated with Cowher’s biased picks this season. Especially when he was the only member of the CBS pre-game crew to pick the Chiefs over the Ravens. But I take it all back.
J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS!

You and Sadler must have loved hearing this after his shennanigans all season.
Heck, even I picked the Ravens to beat the Chiefs.
Maybe he is trying to fire his old team up… it is all PITTSBURGH.
Or maybe he has no faith in his old team. It's all the JETS.
Z-A-C-H, I hope that you are not like some of the guys your Dad hangs with, because tomorrow is going to be depressing for you if you act like them. NO WAY, Mark beats Troy and company and LT will be back to his old play off self with nothing- unless the fix is in. Pittsburg wins in a laugher and is going to the Dance.
Being from pittsburgh, Cowher needs to either pick the Steelers or keep his mouth shut. Pittsburgh fans are smart and dont forget easily.
It's difficult to believe that Steeler fans are smart when in your previous sentence you say Cowher needs to pick the Steelers or keep his mouth shut.
ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS WHAT IS COWHER SAYING NOW????? NOTHING THATS WHAT I THOUGHT……STEELERS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL
Perhaps Bill has forgotten what Steelers football is all about. The Jets were great competition and they should be incredible proud of a great season, but our Steelers are quietly dedicated to winning and we are so propud of them. Coach Tomlim has done a great job keeping the team focused. A city could not ask for a better leader. What a great match-up the Superbowl will be.
I don't think Bill's choice really surprised ayone here. He was a great coach and we appreciate what he did here, but any thoughts that Pittsburgh really mattered to him were gone long ago.
