Billy CundiffSadly, Billy Cundiff’s career is overshadowed by his potential game-tying 32-yard shank in last year’s AFC Championship against the New England Patriots. The Baltimore Ravens cut Cundiff during training camp in lieu of rookie Justin Tucker who has made 93.3 percent of his kicks this season.

With Stephen Gostkowski hurt, the Patriots have gotten so desperate for a kicker that they’ve brought in Cundiff to try out for the role.

Technically, he did help put them in the Super Bowl.

Graham Gano, who lost the Ravens kicking competition to Steve Hauschka in 2009, was also in attendance at the Pats workout.

Desperate times.
