Leading Off
Things in Birdland are as terrible as ever. Since we were last together, the Orioles won a single game, and Scott came down with something. We’re going to assume it’s the Bird Flu.
Props go to Rob (robj1028) for our episode title this week – we couldn’t think of a better way to express our feelings on how things went this week in Orioles Baseball.
The O’s won a single game, but it sure didn’t feel like it. It felt like they lost all the games. Past, present, and future.

After watching the Rays for a few days (and watching KC last weekend) the Orioles are light years behind both organizations.

Adam Jones sat all 3 games vs Rays. Orioles are evaluating others. I get that’s what happens in a rebuild. But I also think that’s a lousy way to treat a guy who has been a franchise face & can still play. Is this just business? Click on link & comment. $ https://t.co/XAImDDrUO2

Around the Bases
How you feeling, Birdland? How does your 41-102 club strike you? Is this what you wanted? Looking forward to the Orioles rebuild? Well buckle up, because there are a lot more disappointments in store. We’re not trying to pile on, here, but we want you to be prepared. As we all look to the sweet mercy of the end of the season, there are a number of things that will make us sad – starting as soon as the postseason ends.
We name-check the likes of Nick Markakis, Nolan Reimold, Nelson Cruz, Derrek Lee, Luis Matos, and Wade Miley in a conversation that will make you want to fire your fandom into the sun. Long time listeners will understand what we did there.
To quote Rob, “womp, womp.”
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Who had a great week? Who had a tough week? Who made us ashamed to be Orioles fans? Find out in this week’s GB&U. The guys run through their Good, Bad, and Ugly for the week.

Blowing the Save
Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
