Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti confidently told fans on Tuesday that he has “no doubt” that the Ravens will re-sign Haloti Ngata to a longterm extension. “I just have a feeling that things are going to work out,” he said according to Ryan Mink of BaltimoreRavens.com. “There’s not doubt in my mind Haloti’s going to be with us. We’re just trying to work out the details.”
Restructuring Ngata, who received the franchise tag this season, is a vital part of the Ravens plan moving forward as it will free up salary cap space as the contract is spaced out over time. Many experts have blamed Ngata’s pricey contract as a reason that the Ravens were unable to grab big name free agents this offseason.
Bisciotti added that he is “having a hard time giving away $60 million, the way this thing is going,” but that he leaves the negotiations up to his general manager, Ozzie Newsome.
Didn’t ozzie know his contract was coming up ? Everyone else did,,,,,,,,,,,,what a poor job by this joke of a GM………..
No doubt he’ll sign him, but at what cost to the team? His franchise tag is costing them big time and causing them to have to ignore holes like the offensive line and back up quarterback. Reports are the team is low balling Ngata. Great, yet Hair Club For Men Biscotti brags they are going to sign him. If that’s true, get on it.
Right price =right player,,,,,,,,,,,,not like 12 million for an over priced old man like Vlad,,,,,,,,,,the O’s could learn from watching the Ravens put a competitive team on the field for the enjoyment of the fans , the O’s don’t even have many fans left,,,,,,,,,,
Highly insightful cheers, I do believe your trusty subscribers may want a whole lot more reviews along these lines carry on the great effort.
