Washington Capitals forward Brooks Laich will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at Monday night’s Orioles game against the New York Yankees. Laich, who is named after the O’s legendary Hall of Fame third baseman Brooks Robinson, seems confident in his abilities to throw a strike.
Looking forward to throwing out the first pitch at the @orioles game Monday night! No lob here, I’m putting some stank on it right @83goose!

With the Caps out of the playoffs (again), the O’s might turn to Laich for some starting pitching depth. I’d almost rather see him on the bump tonight instead of Freddy Garcia.
