The Orioles kicked off their ten-game, three-city West Coast road trip Friday night just three outs away from taking the first game against the Oakland Athletics.

An infield hit, then a bloop hit, followed by a home run from everyone’s favorite Oakland Athletic they love to hate, Josh Donaldson, gave the A’s a walk off win.

The O’s came back on Saturday night hungry for a win, and got one behind Adam Jones’ 5-RBI night and five innings from Wei-Yin Chen in an 8-4 victory. On Sunday, the O’s were blown out in a game they were never in from the start – a 10-2 schalacking to lose two out of three in Oakland.

Up next, its off to Anaheim to face the Los Angeles Angels (59-38) who are red hot and trail the A’s by 1.5 games in the AL West. Bud Norris (7-6, 3.96 ERA) toes the rubber for the Birds tonight against Matt Shoemaker (7-2, 4.38 ERA).
