Texas Rangers-SP Wandy Rodriguez-$6,000. Rodriguez won his third straight decision in a span of six starts and is now 4-0 with a 2.28 ERA in seven starts on the road. He’ll look to keep it up in his next scheduled start Wednesday against the A’s.
SF Giants-1B Brandon Belt- $3,800. Belt is a career .357 hitter with 2HR in 28 AB’s vs. the Padres SP Ian Kennedy. Belt is also someone who hits HR’s in bunches and he has hit a couple in the past couple days which could lead to a great value selection in a high priced position like first base.
Steer Clear:
Miami Marlins-SP Mat Latos-$7,100. Latos is coming off a no-decision at Yankee Stadium. The right-hander is 1-2 with a 7.90 ERA in his first 6 starts at Marlins Park. In his career vs. the Cardinals, he is 5-5 with a 5.69 ERA in 12 starts.
Washington Nationals-SS Ian Desmond-$3,600. The price for Desi is actually good, but it might be because he’s hitting .083 in 12 career AB’s vs. the Braves Shelby Miller. He owns a .143/.167/.200 slash line in 70 June at-bats with a 25:1 K:BB ratio as well as only having two extra base hits during that span.
Orioles of Note:
The BoSox will trot out their “ace” Clay Buchholz (4-6, 3.87 ERA)vs. any Orioles team that has been locked in at the plate of late. Here are some potential options if you would like to use some Orioles in your DK lineup vs. the BoSox “ace”.
